• What can I do to make my Mustang go faster?

• Getting your engine to make more horsepower is basically the ability to get more fuel and air into the engine. Then once you get the fuel & air into the engine you have to get it back out. The engine needs to "flow" or "breathe".

• Unfortunately to make more horsepower you have to spend some money. You have to balance your budget with how fast you want to go with how much you are willing to spend. GEFRACING has put together some specific pre-packaged kits for your Mustangs - starting at adding 30HP and going up to nearly a 300HP increase.

• What is the right size tire for my car?

• Tire size is a factor of three dimensions; tread width, sidewall height and wheel diameter. Lets take the example of the standard 245/45ZR17 tires found on the 00-01 GT's. The 245 is the tread width stated in millimeters - to convert to inches you can divide by 25.4 - so the tread width on this tire is 9.6 inches. The second number - 45 is the aspect ratio of the sidewall. In other words the sidewall is 45% of the width of the tread. So if you take 9.6 inches x 45% - the sidewall is 4.3 inches. You want the tread width to approximate the width of the tire within and inch or less. So the 245/45 tire is a good fit for a 8 or 9 inch wheel.
